Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Materials Management
Bachelor of Science in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or Its Equivalent
Registered with a statutory Materials Management Board – the PSPTB
Tertiary qualifications in Warehousing and Logistics are added advantage

Minimum of 5 years working experience in Warehousing and Logistics in the Mining industry or large-scale industries
Experience with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, preferably SAP system
Experience in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong Leadership Skills
Good communication Skills
Dynamic knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain, Warehousing systems, Logistics and expediting
Ability to communicate ideas effectively, both orally and in writing

Overseeing team performance, including movement, distribution, and safe receipt of supplies and materials
Managing Warehouse staff and resources to improve methods and processes
Building a Culture of Safety and Awareness to Environmental issues
Managing operational requirements, including shipping and customer services from all Warehouses
Establishing key performance indicators and monitoring ongoing performance
Maintaining good housekeeping practices and ensuring compliance with safety rules
Overseeing cargo clearance activities and compliance with customs regulations
Ensuring timely delivery and shipping of consignments from Freight Agent to the site
Documenting safety and environmental incident reports and developing standard operating procedures
Providing direct management support to employees on matters like training and complaints
